Dr. Gustafson completed her undergraduate and graduate school in Toronto and Medical school at UBC as the top student in OB/GYN. She completed residency in OB/Gyn at the University of Alberta in 2006. For the last decade she has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in South Surrey/White Rock. Dr. Gustafson is also an assistant professor at UBC in the department of OB/GYN.
In addition to general Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Gustafson also has a special interest in management of Menopause and Osteoporosis. She cares for patients with postmenopausal osteoporosis in her clinic and at the Peace Arch Hospital Healthy Bones Program. She is also a North American Menopause Society (NAMS) certified menopause practitioner and Osteoporosis certified consultant. She cares for patients with postmenopausal osteoporosis in her clinic and at the Peace Arch Hospital Healthy Bones Program. She has presented to her colleagues on these topics at national conferences.
Dr. Gustafson offers evidence based management of menopausal complaints including vaginal dryness, hot flashes and night sweats, poor sleep and associated menopausal symptoms and osteoporosis risks. She offers the most current management based on national guidelines and recommendations.
