Understanding the aging process

The aging process is a natural process in which cells begin to renew themselves more slowly. For your skin, this means less collagen and hyaluronic acid to support and fill out layers of skin. Environmental effects, pollution, sun exposure, stress and smoking can all increase this effect.

Reduce the signs of aging

Hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar that helps maintain facial fullness and elasticity in the skin, plays an important role in the way our skin looks, feels and functions. Hyaluronic acid retains water like a sponge, absorbing more than 1,000 times its weight. This helps to hydrate and moisturize our skin, improving overall appearance.

As the skin ages and is exposed to environmental pollutants and ultraviolet rays, the cells lose the ability to produce hyaluronic acid. As a result, this causes wrinkles to form and our face to lose definition, balance and its natural shape.

Treatment is quick and easy

Your Aesthetic Injector will restore fullness and smooth away fine lines, wrinkles and folds. Following injection, the treated areas may be gently massaged by your doctor. The facial filler procedure is quick and easy, generally taking only 15-60 minutes (depending on areas treated).

MASKS

Masks are mandatory to wear upon entering Sereno Wellness & Spa.

This is for your protection and the protection of our staff, We have non-medical for purchase for $2. If you are in need of a disposable mask, please call us when outside the facility and we can bring you one at the door.

SANITATION AND DISINFECTING

The treatment rooms will be sanitized and disinfected before and after each patient. Our staff will wear protective gear at all times.

SOCIAL DISTANCIMG

Patients will enter the facility at the time of their appointment. We ask that you arrive alone and n 5 minutes before your appointment for screening. Please follow the directional signage.

PLEXI GLASS BARRIES

Plexiglass barriers have been installed in our reception area where the required distancing cannot be maintained.

PRE-SCREENING

All patients will be pre-screened by questionnaire at the time of booking as well as upon arrival of the appointment for symptoms of COVID-19 upon entering the facility and temperature taken and recorded. This is non-negotiable. If your temperature exceeds 38 degrees your appointment will be rescheduled and you will be guided to a designated screening center.

Staff will also be monitored twice daily.

Patients who have travelled outside of BC in the past 14 days are asked not to book.

HAND WASHING and SANITIZING

Everyone is encouraged to sanitise their hands before and after their treatments. Hospital grade sanitizer will be available at front desk and in each room.

APPOINTMENT BOOKING

We are allowing more time in between appointment and staggering our practitioners. This is to avoid crowding in the waiting room. You may be asked to wait in your car and we will call you to enter for your appointment.

CANCELLING APPOINTMENTS

Cancel you appointment if you are experiencing any cold / flu like symptoms. Cancellation fees will not be applied however we would appreciate 24 hours’ notice.*

USE OF FACILITES

Until further notice the use of our change rooms, relaxation lounge and infrared saunas will be closed.

There will be restricted use of washrooms.

All our staff are thoroughly trained to execute protocol.
